Verifying National Kennel Clubs, Feline Federations, and Pedigrees Worldwide
Before acquiring a purebred puppy or kitten internationally, always verify that the breeder's national registry is an official member or contract partner of the FCI (for dogs) or FIFe/TICA/CFA (for cats). Only one national canine organization per country is recognized by the FCI.

Why Official National Federation Status Matters
Under FCI statutes, only a single national canine organization per country (such as the Verband für das Deutsche Hundewesen in Germany, the Société Centrale Canine in France, or the Real Sociedad Canina de España in Spain) is authorized to issue FCI-recognized pedigrees and register kennel names in the international FCI kennel directory.
In feline registries, FIFe (Fédération Internationale Féline) applies the Easy Mind System (EMS) three-letter breed code on all official pedigrees.

2. Match the microchip ISO number (15-digit ISO 11784/11785) against the vaccination passport and export pedigree.
3. Verify parent registration numbers and mandatory breed health screening certificates prior to transfer.
